Baby Quilt Number Two

Quilt for a baby girl

It does seem sometimes that things come in threes! Between our family and friends there are three babies incoming in a five-week period, so I have been busily making baby quilts.

This is baby quilt two, for the only girl in the crowd. The topper is made entirely from stash. I picked up the backing at JoAnn’s, came home and remembered that I had one fat quarter of the great Tula Pink squirrels. They were a great focal piece to tuck in on this very simple quilt. Aren’t the colors yummy?

IMG_3265As always, I made it puffy (Minnesota babies need the winter warmth!) and used the Wrights Satin Blanket Binding all around. Babies and toddlers do love that satiny fabric!

Baby quilt number three is coming. Not quite yet, but soon!

Greetings from an east Texan! That is an adorable baby quilt. I absolutely LOVE the squirrels!! What a wonderful little treasure that quilt will be in years to come for the lucky little girl receiving it!

Wanted to take this moment to also thank you for the time & energy you so selflessly give of yourself to coordinate the fabric swaps. I was a newbie this year & have received 4 of my 6 charm pkgs already. Just want you to know…I’m hooked! Already looking forward to the Sept swap to participate as a swapper & also share with other newbies. Working on a couple of coworkers to hopefully get them involved. Thanks again for everything. Enjoying your blog & emails as well. Take care up there in Minnesota.
