If you have not yet signed up, this is it, folks! On October 21, 2012 at midnight CDT, I close the sign-up. Hop over now and get yourself into the fun.
There are many new swappers this round, and several Newbies have moved to the SWAPPER group! I am delighted that people are still finding the swap, and know that we will still have some trading going on next year.
People who donated newbie sets but were frustrated with lack of acknowledgments, I hear you. BUT, well I have lost count of how many baby and wedding gifts I have given the last few years, some sent cross-country, with no thank you note following. Perhaps it is a sign of the times. I suspect that the gifts were welcomed, and that goes for the Newbie gifts as well. Yeah, in the world I grew up in, it would be very rude to not send thanks or at least acknowledge receiving the gift. But life is short and I have other things to do, so I accept that others do not adhere to that and move on. I hope you will too, and continue to donate Newbie Sets.
Are you SEWING yet? Piecing those charms? Moving toward your goal?
If you check your calendars you will notice that November is nearly upon us. That means December is fast approaching. Are you sewing with your charms? SHOW US! After all, that is the point of the swaps, creating something with your lovely little treasures. BE it a mug rug, tote bag, pillow, or king-sized quilt, just do something with them. And then, prove to us that you are working on it! The only way we know is when you post a photo on Flickr and share. If you do not want to set up a Flickr account (easy to do) just email me your photo and I will post it.© 2012 by The Curious Quilter, thecuriousquilter.net, maryeoriginals.com. All rights reserved.
