After being together over thirteen years, my son Chris and his girlfriend Eboun decided it was time to get married. They wanted a low-key affair, but at a busy time of year. Chris’s band was just finishing up a busy performing cycle, his solo EP was released, Eboun was changing jobs, and the holidays were in full tilt. Their first plans were to invite only their Moms and visit the judge, but they settled on a wedding at their own home, with their Moms, brothers, and a couple of life-long friends. A family friend, who first met Chris when he was a preteen, officiated, and we capped it off with cupcakes and champagne. It was a fun and special night last week.

And yes, I sewed the dress, which is a New Look pattern. Simple and quick was a good thing, as Eboun asked me to make it the weekend before the wedding, and was not around for fitting until the day of the event. A knee-length dress of taffeta with flocked polkadots, very fun yet classy!

Congrats to all! I had to check out the music (my kids would love it all!). Then I popped over to Andorblogs and was blown away by his photographs, not just the wedding. The citrus fruit (grown in Minnesota? Really?) made my mouth water.

How wonderful. Everyone looks very happy about things, so it must be the right decision. Lovely dress! I enjoyed skimming through your son’s blog.
